The Seacem.org is an interactive, community-driven portal for media practitioners to interact, share and learn from each other. The main target group for this community are the editorial team members, journalists, webmasters, marketing executives and finance executives from media organizations and civil societies. Our second target group are the citizen journalists or socio-political bloggers around the world. Government agencies or corporate sectors who wishes to leverage on technology to improve their services are also encouraged to share their experiences here.

Based on the need for members to continuosly upgrade themselves, the community portal was designed based on the following components:

Social Networking: Members are encouraged to make new friends from the region who shared common interests or expertise. You are encourage to state your learning agenda, and provide information for others to contact you easily. 

Online Forum : The online forum consists of 2 tracks. The first track is related to the technical skill sets that are important for media organizations, civil societies and citizen journalists. The second track is for participants to discuss issues that are important to be taken up in a particular country or region.

Document Sharing: In this component, members are encouraged to share important document particularly powerpoint presentations that will be useful for learning purpose especially those related to the domain areas.

Online Learning: This component is specific for trainers or programs endorsed by Seacem, whereby the learning materials and online assessment will be posted online. If you feel that you could develop a good courseware either for free or to generate some revenue, you are most welcome to collaborate with us.
